I finally put 2 & 2 together and started making cards out of my woodcuts. I tend to make woodcuts that are relatively small anyway. Part of this is accidental, like lets say that half of a print doesn’t turn out as well as the other half…..
womp, womp, womp.
But the other reason is that I think it is much harder to do a larger hand-pressed woodcut print and have it turn out with even distrubution of ink etc. You press so hard with your arms that just printing a few of them will wear you out! So that’s why I don’t generally do huge prints.

I guess you could say this is a composite of what me or one of my friends would look like if we were a mermaid. I think it looks kind of Nordic.
I made this closer to when I was first starting real estate. I like the idea of visualizing my efforts at something to make them stronger. So when I mail out marketing information I picture the letters filtering out over vast areas.
This was supposed to part of a bigger print, but the other part did not turn out so it got chopped off. It reminds me of the industrial side of the ocean. The tankers and rigs, metal clanging.
Ok, we will end the college prints with my favorite one I did. The professor said it looked like a German Expressionist style woodcut and that I had a good mark. Go team!
